Joined the United States Marine Corps two weeks out of high school. Went into the buddy plan with Dave Reynolds, Mike Tuma and Art Vandervest,all 1964 graduates. Served in Viet Nam in 1966-67. Got out in June 1968. Entered Junior college in California in Sept. 1968. Played football and got a Division I schlorship to University Of Kentucky to play football.( I got big in the Marine Corps 6'3"@250 lbs.) Transfered to Cal Western University after a year at Kentucky and played two more years on schlorship. Graduated Cal Western in 1972. Went into banking in San Diego right after college. Later became CEO of San Clemente Savings and later at First Bank of Beverly Hills (Los Angeles) 30 + years in banking. Been retired for 10 years. Maried 34 years (Christie) No children. Currently have a small antique business. I've been the "original" picker for years and have a house full of antiques. Also, I've been making furniture and chandeliers out of moose, elk and deer antlers which I sell on line or in my antique mall spaces in Denver. Also do wood carvings of fish and ducks when I'm not playing golf.

Happy Birthday young lady. Hope all is well and you’re enjoying your life and family.
Pat: Sorry I missed your birthday by a few days. Glad to see you’re getting around with your friends and the “pooch.” Animals are a great comfort as we age. Christie and I are still plugging along in Colorado. The snow has seemingly taken a respite and the sunshine and warmer weather is apparently here to stay. I wish you many more birthdays and good health going forward. John
